Portico Tables & Chair Sets

Two of our core vendors, New Pacific Direct Inc. & Sitcom Furniture supply us with a vast selection of affordable and quality imported dining sets, coffee tables, sofa tables etc. for every room of your home.

In addition, we also build our very own reclaimed wood furniture in our Portland wood shop. Most of our wood is sourced here in Oregon from centuries old decommissioned buildings and barns. You will be hard pressed to find a finer reclaimed wood table any where else.

Peace Table - by Johan Meijer

The steel and wood trestle. The Peace Table came about as a trestle table made with a steel base. Why a steel base? This design combines the best elements of steel and wood. Steel for its strength, wood for its texture and beauty. Like any good trestle table, there are no posts on the table corners to get in your way, and in this design, there is no obstruction close to the ground that goes down the length of the table top. Hope you like it. This table also comes with other wood tops such as fir and walnut. Inquire about pricing.

Oregon barns

Oregon barns

We love our Oregon barns. Unfortunately, sometimes they have to be removed. But they can offer some of the most beautiful boards for our Wine Country tables. Here I was in Beavercreek Oregon, surrounded by the inspiring Oregon rural countryside. So we are happy to know that the barn will live on!

Commercial office furniture

Watershed Sciences, Inc (www.watershedsciences.com) recently moved to a larger downtown office thanks to its growing business.Watershed Sciences is a Portland environmental consulting firm that specializes in remote sensing technology and applications. Watershed wanted an office environment that incorporated their values of sustainability with an attractive work environment. Viridian Reclaimed Wood supplied all the beautiful reused fir wood tops, and we - Portico Furniture designed and manufatured the steel table bases. Usually we craft one table at a time, but here was an opportunity to scale up the work to commercial quantities and contribute to a hip modern office environment. Whether you need one piece of furniture, or a hundred or more, please take a look at what we can do for you.

For these large tables we use these large tenons for superior strength.
We use template routing to make the mortises, and make the tenon stock to fit.

Post-industrial steel and wood tables

Thick wood tops resting on stout steel bases. Fir tops are standard, but walnut wood is an option. With the tick tops, we eliminate the standard table aprons, allowing for more leg room under the table top.
